What is ballcock valve?

A ballcock valve, also known as a ball tap or float valve, is a type of fill valve used in water tanks and toilets to regulate the flow of water. It consists of a hollow plastic or metal ball attached to a lever arm inside the tank. As the water level in the tank drops, the ball lowers and opens the valve to allow water to flow into the tank. When the water level reaches a certain point, the ball rises and closes the valve to stop the flow of water.

Ballcock valves are typically adjustable, allowing the user to set the water level in the tank to their desired height. They are commonly used in toilet tanks, where they control the refilling of the tank after a flush. Ballcock valves are durable and reliable, but may require occasional maintenance or replacement if they fail to function properly.
